Why People Quit Calorie Counting
Traditional food logging is tedious. That's why most people give up within the first week.
Manual Entry is Slow
Searching through databases of 300,000+ foods, picking the right entry, measuring portions, typing it all in. For every single meal. Every day.
Barcodes Don't Work for Real Food
Barcode scanners are great for packaged snacks. But what about home-cooked meals, restaurant plates, or anything that doesn't come in a box?
Complex Meals are a Nightmare
A salad with grilled chicken, avocado, corn, tomatoes, and feta? That's five separate database searches and five portion estimates in traditional apps.

Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate are the AI nutrition estimates?
The AI provides estimates based on visual analysis of your food. It's generally quite good for typical meals, but results are approximate. Factors like hidden ingredients, sauces, and cooking oils can affect accuracy. You can always edit the AI's description to improve results, and hit Recalculate for a fresh analysis.
What foods does the AI recognize?
The AI can identify a very wide range of foods including home-cooked meals, restaurant dishes, fast food, salads, sandwiches, soups, drinks, snacks, and more. It handles multi-item plates well; if there are five different foods on your plate, it'll try to identify and estimate each one separately.
Does SnapEatKnow replace a nutritionist?
No. SnapEatKnow is for general nutrition tracking and informational purposes only. It provides AI-generated estimates, not precise measurements. Always consult a healthcare professional or registered dietitian for medical dietary advice.
What happens to my photos?
Your photos are uploaded to secure cloud storage for your personal meal history. They're sent to our AI provider for analysis using the highest available privacy settings; your images are not used to train AI models and are not shared with third parties. You can delete any meal (and its photo) at any time.
Can I use SnapEatKnow offline?
You can take photos offline and they'll be saved as drafts. When you reconnect, the app will upload and analyze them. You need an internet connection for the AI analysis step since it happens on our servers.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime through your App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android) subscription settings. Your premium access continues until the end of your current billing period.
Is there a web version?
SnapEatKnow is currently a mobile app for iOS and Android. The camera-based workflow is designed for phones. A web companion for viewing history may come in the future.
How is this different from MyFitnessPal or Lose It?
Those apps rely on manual food database searches and barcode scanning. SnapEatKnow uses AI photo analysis as the primary input method, so you never have to type food names or measure portions. It's a fundamentally different approach to food logging that's much faster for most meals.
