Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to SnapEatKnow! By downloading, accessing, or using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use our app.
These terms create a legal agreement between you and SnapEatKnow. We recommend reading them carefully.
Eligibility
To use SnapEatKnow, you must:
- Be at least 13 years old - Our app is not intended for children under 13
- Provide accurate information - Keep your account details truthful and up to date
- Comply with laws - Follow all applicable local, state, and federal laws when using our service
- Have authority - If using on behalf of an organization, you must have authority to bind them to these terms
Account Responsibilities
When you create an account:
- Keep your credentials secure - You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information
- One account per person - Don't share your account or create multiple accounts
- Notify us of unauthorized access - Let us know immediately if you suspect any security breach
- You're responsible for activity - All activity under your account is your responsibility
Acceptable Use Policy
You agree NOT to:
- Use for illegal purposes - Don't use SnapEatKnow for any unlawful activity
- Abuse or harass - Don't harass, abuse, or harm other users or our team
- Hack or interfere - Don't attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt our systems
- Upload malicious content - Don't upload viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Violate others' rights - Respect intellectual property and privacy rights of others
- Spam or automate - Don't use bots, scrapers, or automated tools without permission
Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of your account.
Service Description
SnapEatKnow provides AI-powered nutrition tracking. Here's what you should know:
- AI estimates - Our nutrition data is generated by AI and is an estimate, not guaranteed to be 100% accurate
- Not medical advice - SnapEatKnow is for general tracking only, not medical or dietary advice
- Provided "as is" - We provide the service as-is without warranties of any kind
- Changes to service - We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time
- No guarantee of availability - We strive for 24/7 availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service
Subscriptions & Billing
SnapEatKnow offers a free tier and a premium subscription.
Free Tier
- 20 AI analyses per month at no charge
- No credit card required to get started
- Free usage resets at the beginning of each calendar month
Premium Subscription
- $4.99/month for unlimited AI analyses
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
- Auto-renewal: Your subscription automatically renews each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- Renewal charge: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price
Cancellation
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings (Apple App Store or Google Play Store)
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you'll continue to have premium access until then
- We do not offer partial refunds for unused portions of a billing period
Refunds
- All subscription purchases are processed through Apple or Google, and their refund policies apply
- Apple: Request refunds through reportaproblem.apple.com
- Google: Request refunds through the Google Play Store or Google Play Help
Price Changes
We may change subscription pricing from time to time. If we do, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect. You can cancel before the new price applies if you don't agree.
Intellectual Property
Your content:
- You own your photos - You retain all rights to the meal photos you upload
- License to process - By uploading photos, you grant us a license to store, process, and analyze them to provide our service
- We don't share - We don't sell or share your photos with third parties (except AI processing providers)
Our content:
- We own the app - SnapEatKnow, our logo, and all app features are our property
- Don't copy or redistribute - You can't copy, modify, or redistribute our app or content
- Trademarks protected - "SnapEatKnow" and our branding are protected trademarks
Limitation of Liability
IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We're not liable for health decisions - Any health, dietary, or fitness decisions you make based on our app are your own responsibility
- No liability for damages - We're not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Maximum liability - Our total liability to you for any claims is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
- Not responsible for third parties - We're not liable for third-party services like AWS or OpenAI
Some jurisdictions don't allow liability limitations, so these may not apply to you.
Medical Disclaimer
SnapEatKnow is NOT a medical device and does NOT provide medical advice.
- The nutrition information is AI-generated estimates, not precise measurements
- Don't use SnapEatKnow to diagnose, treat, or manage medical conditions
- Always consult with a healthcare professional, registered dietitian, or nutritionist for medical or dietary concerns
- If you have food allergies, medical conditions, or dietary restrictions, consult a professional before making dietary changes
- In case of a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency services
Termination
We can terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms of Service
- You violate our Acceptable Use Policy
- We're required to do so by law
- We discontinue the service entirely
You can delete your account at any time:
- Go to Settings in the app and select "Delete Account"
- Your photos and data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
- Some data may remain in backups for up to 90 days
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do:
- We'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- We'll notify you via email or in-app notification for significant changes
- Your continued use of SnapEatKnow after changes means you accept the new terms
- If you don't agree with the changes, please stop using the app and delete your account
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Arizona.
Informal resolution first: If you have a dispute with us, please contact us at support@snapeatknow.com first. We'll do our best to resolve it informally.
Legal action: If we can't resolve the dispute informally, any legal action must be brought in the courts of Arizona, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.
Your Privacy
We take your privacy seriously. Here's what you need to know:
- We don't sell your data - We never sell your personal information or meal photos
- We don't share your photos - Your meal photos are private and only visible to you
- Only keep data as needed - We only retain your data as long as necessary to provide our service

Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SnapEatKnow. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
Severability
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts will still apply. We'll replace the unenforceable part with something similar that is enforceable.
